Fort Campbell KY To Host Its Annual Retiree Appreciation Day On September 22, 2018

Every year Fort Campbell hosts a Retiree Appreciation day.  It is a day to get the Military Retiree’s together and remind them how important they are to Fort Campbell.  This years event will be held on September 22 from 8am – 2pm, at the Soldier Support Center.  Besides showing gratitude and appreciation, there will be 33 organizations there with information to benefit the Retiree’s.  Some of the represented organizations are:

  • The US Department of Veteran Affairs
  • Tennessee Valley Healthcare System
  • Blanchfield Army Community Hospital (will also be set up for immunizations)
  • Defense Finance and Accounting Services (to reset MyPay pin if necessary)
  • Judge Advocate General’s Office (for Power of Attorney set up)

This will be a great opportunity if the Retiree has questions about Tricare and the new vision and dental plan that has been added.  Not only will there be someone there to answer questions, but they will have the opportunity to enroll on site.

Don’t be fooled, there is more to this Appreciation Day than just information.  There will be displays with Army equipment, and the Retiree’s can either have breakfast or lunch in the 2nd Brigade Combat Team Dining Facility.  On top of that the Retiree’s can bring documents to be shredded, get new ID cards, and speak with the director of Army retirement services.
