It is important to note that Clarksville DOES NOT designate times or rules for trick or treating. That does not mean a subdivision may decided to switch things up. If you have an HOA, you may want to check with them regarding any changes that may occur.

There is a curfew that is a normal part of the City’s code. It will remain in effect for Halloween. The curfew DOES NOT apply to minors accompanied by a parent/guardian. The curfew is as follows: Ages younger than 15 cannot be on the street or in public areas from 11pm – 6am. Ages 15-18 is from 1am – 6am.

Some Halloween tips to have a safe and fun Halloween are as follows:

  • Make sure the costumes are fire resistant and that you can see out of it.
  • Be visible. Use flashlights, reflective tape, and/or other items that will illuminate you.
  • Young children should be accompanied by an adult at all times.
  • Remember to use crosswalks, don’t cross in the middle of a street, and walk facing traffic.
  • Pay attention to your surroundings.
  • Remind children they are NEVER to enter a strangers car or home.
  • Adults should check candy before the children eat it. Do not take open items.
  • Avoid driving when possible. There will be a lot more slow traffic (parents that drive the children from house to house) and people in the streets.
